Adopt A Highway Event

We are looking for people to volunteer for the spring Adopt A Highway Event. We will again be picking up litter from Sturgeon Creek to Lawyers Rd along Route 208. We'll meet in the Smile Lake Anna parking lot and send one crew west and a larger crew east. Highway safety signs will be placed at both ends of the clean up zone and orange safety vests will be provided for the event. Gloves and long pant are recommended as there are pricker bushes along this route. VDOT will supply heavy duty trash bags and LACA has 24 grabbers for folks to borrow. Please bring one if you have one to supplement this total.

Come meet your neighbors for some light exercise and help beautify the approach to Lake Anna from the east. This event counts for student community service hours, so bring your teenagers along!
