Fireworks

Donate

LACA sponsors an annual spectacular fireworks show at Dike Two. The show can be seen by boat on both the public and private side of Lake Anna. 100% of the funding is provided by your generous donations.

WATER QUALITY

Donate

LACA in cooperation with Virginia DEQ conducts water quality testing and is working with our partners to stop the Harmful Algae Blooms that are harming our Lake. Your tax deductible donations helps our efforts to eradicate HABs and assures that we all enjoy clean water at Lake Anna.

Membership in the Lake Anna Civic Association (LACA) is an ideal way to stay informed about what is happening at the lake while supporting our efforts to protect the lake and the safety of those who enjoy it.

Stay Informed

Members receive a [monthly/bi-monthly] electronic newsletter and can also choose to receive e-grams from the organization on items that might impact lake usage, advisories about upcoming meetings of importance, updates on the schedule for our annual fireworks display and other items which need more frequent communication. Members are invited to attend the organization’s annual meeting held the last Saturday in July at the North Anna Nuclear Information Center beginning at 9 a.m.

Support Our Mission

Membership fees help support our programs directed toward our primary mission such as water quality, environmental preservation, land use and safety. Expenses for fireworks are collected separately from membership fees through designated donations.  Reducing harmful algae blooms (HABs), eliminating hydrilla, advising local developers and county officials on best practices, promoting safety programs and working with Dominion Power to maintain reasonable lake levels are all examples of how LACA works to keep Lake Anna beautiful.

Strengthen Our Influence

Through surveys and direct input from our membership, the LACA Board of Directors endeavors to ascertain the opinions and priorities of its membership regarding a wide variety of issues related to its mission.  If the Board finds there is a clear consensus on an issue, it will communicate its position to the appropriate governmental entities such as county Boards of Supervisors, county and state agencies as well as state legislators. There is strength in numbers.  The larger our membership, the more influence we will have.
