Annual Meeting

The Lake Anna Civic Association holds its annual membership meeting on the last Saturday of July at the North Anna Nuclear Information Center located at the North Anna Nuclear Power Station.  The meeting is open to all members in good standing and begins at 9 a.m. with a continental breakfast and time to interface with the various committees.  The official meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. and features a review of the past year’s activities, election of officers, reports from the committees and a guest speaker on a topic of interest or impacting the lake and it environs.

This year's meeting is scheduled for Saturday, July 29, 2023.  The guest speakers are Sarah Sivers and Tish Robertson from the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality.  Their talk is titled: "An Overview of the Lake Anna Harmful Algal Bloom Study Mandated by the 2022 Virginia General Assembly".  The meeting will also feature reports by other committees and a recap of LACA's activities during the year. One of the other highlights is the presentation of the Jack Bertron Distinguished Service Award, recognizing outstanding efforts on behalf of the Lake Anna community.  The late Jack Bertron founded LACA and the award recognizes his work to preserve Lake Anna during his time here.

All those attending the meeting MUST be FULLY vaccinated at least 14 days before the meeting and sign up to attend in person.  We have a limit to how many can attend in person.  The meeting will also be broadcast on the internet.

The meeting typically ends by 11:30 a.m. following a question and answer time from the attendees.

North Anna Nuclear Information Center address: 1022 Haley Drive, Mineral, VA (off Kentucky Springs Road at the flashing light).
