Greg Baker, President

* Greg has been serving as the president since July 2019.

* He previously served as the vice president and Belmont Regional Director.

* Greg starting visiting the lake in 1989 to water ski.  "I owned a Mastercraft ski boat and made day trips to the lake to waterski and spend time with friends.  Ultimately, my wife, Lisa, and I purchased our home in 1993, remodeled it in 2008 and moved here full-time in 2017."

* He enjoys not only water skiing but he is also an avid snow skier and loves to go heli-skiing annually. Greg also enjoys golfing and collecting California wines.  He has taken culinary classes at L’Academie de Cuisine and is passionate about cooking, barbequing, and anything in the kitchen that involves a gadget.

* Greg runs a wealth management team and is the co-owner of two Massage Envy clinics.

Joe Bailey, Vice President

*Joe has served as the vice president since July 2019.

* Joe previously served as vice president for several terms beginning in 2000 before stepping away for a brief time.

* Joe started coming to the lake to fish and camp with his father in the mid-1970’s and he and his wife, Gretchen, bought land in 1989, building a weekend home in 1991 as a get-away from the D.C. metro area before moving here full time in 1994 when he started a software company.

* He enjoys gardening, cooking, fishing, and reading history.

* Joe also served on the Lake Anna Special Area Plan Committee chaired by the late Jack Bertron who formed LACA and encouraged Joe to get involved with LACA as well.  He has also served on the board of the Kelly’s Landing Property Owners Association, is a member and on the board of the Belmont Ruritan Club and volunteers with the Belmont Foundation.

Sue Biondi, Secretary

* Sue has served as the organization's secretary since July 2010.

* She and her husband, Rich, purchased property in Runnymede subdivision in July 1982 and constructed their home in 1984.  Initially a weekend getaway from the hubbub of Fairfax County, the home was remodeled in 2006 and the couple moved here in February 2008 after retirement. 

* Boating and jet skiing are her favorite summer activities along with playing the many golf courses in Central Virginia.  Sue also enjoys crocheting and meeting with her book club.

* Sue is a retired perianesthesia registered nurse with the INOVA health system in Fairfax and for the past three and a half years has worked as a registered nurse at Dominion Energy’s North Anna Power Station.

* Additionally, she volunteers with the Louisa County Resource Council.

Alan Bennett, Treasurer

* Alan has been the organization's treasurer since July 2018.

* He previously served as the assistant treasurer from 2015 and frequently writes newsletter articles for the organization.

* Al and Joan purchased their first boat in 1987 and have been enjoying the lake ever since.  In 1996 they purchased a vacation home here while continuing to work in Northern Virginia and moved here full time in 2014.

* Al enjoys being a grandparent, water sports, playing pickleball, traveling, and socializing with other lake retirees.  He also has an interest in classic cars and is the original owner of a 1968 Camaro.

Richard Magenheimer, Assistant Treasurer

Colleen Delawder, Jackson/Cuckoo-Private Side Regional Director

* Colleen has served as the Jackson/Cuckoo Private Side Regional Director since her election in March 2021.

* Colleen moved to Lake Anna full-time with her husband and two kids in 2015.  In the summer, she enjoys taking the kids out tubing, cooking, and gardening.  In the winter, she enjoys watching the steam on the lake while drinking tea by the fire.

* In addition to her role as Regional Director, Colleen is also the President of the Noah's Landing HOA where she enjoys getting to know her neighbors and keeping the lake and her neighborhood beautiful.  

Jean McCormick, Jackson/Cuckoo-Public Side Regional Director

* Emergency Services and Safety Committee Co-Chair

* Jean has served as the vice chairman of the Emergency Services committee since 2012.

* An avid boater, Jean has owned property at the lake since in 1993, moving to the lake full time in 2003 after retiring from Fairfax County Public Schools.

* Jean has also served as chair of the Lake Anna Advisory Committee’s Water Safety and Navigation subcommittee for eight years where she is responsible for monitoring the safety markers on the lake including all Hazard buoys and the No Wake buoys at the bridges.  She is also a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 87, Lake Anna where she teaches Safe Boating Classes and runs Safety patrols on the lake.

pamela Hahn, Mineral/Louisa Regional Director

Elected as the Mineral/Louisa Regional Director in July 2020 to a two-year term

* Purchased property in Windwood Coves in 2015, moving here full-time in March 2020.  After living in Long Island, New York for many years and visiting the beach on the weekend, the family moved to Arlington in 2014 and began looking for a place to spend the summers.

* Loving to swim, kayak, stand up paddleboard and jet ski, Pamela is a Holistic Health Coach.  She is preparing to sit for her National Board exam.  She is also a certified yoga instructor and passionate about the environment.

* Training as a Master Gardener in Northern Virginia, Pam will complete her internship with the Louisa County Extension Master Gardeners.

* Pam hails from East Tennessee and has two daughters, having served as the PTA president at numerous educational levels.

John Crowe, Partlow Regional Director

*  John is new to the Lake Anna Civic Association, elected to the Board as the Partlow Regional Director in August of 2021.

* John, a retired Physical Scientist, and his wife Mary became full time residents at Lake Anna in April 2020.  John grew up living on a lake in New England and is super happy to return to the lake life in retirement.

* Prior to building their lakefront home John, his wife and two daughters, enjoyed watersports and vacationing at Lake Anna for the past 15 years, coming for vacations and day trips from Northern Virginia.  He rented vacation homes all around the public side of the lake, gaining familiarity with the different areas of the lake before settling in at the Sycamore Shoals Community.

*John is a Board Member in his Community POA working to contribute to and improve his community.  He volunteered to join the Lake Anna Civic Association Board to expand that effort and hopes to contribute to the greater good of Lake Anna and to engage the communities in the Partlow Region in a positive discourse.

Rick Nehrboss, Brokenburg Regional Director

Brokenburg Regional director, elected in July 2020 to a two-year term.  

*  Owned property at Lake Anna since 1992, first coming as a "week-ender" and then moving here full-time after his retirement in 2014.  He retired as a consultant for the Department of Defense and the Intelligence community.  Prior to that, Rick spent 20 years in the U.S. Air Force working with various large computer systems projects and programs. 

* In addition to LACA, he also volunteers as a Job Help and Mobile Mentoring Coach at the Thurman Brisben Center in Fredericksburg.

*  An avid water skier in his early days, Rick is relegated to just driving the boat and swimming now.  His other interests and activities include hiking (mostly at the State Park), tennis, golf, scuba diving, snow skiing, and hanging out at the lake reading a book.

*  He is looking forward to meeting the LACA membership and other community members.

* He is part-owner in the Encore Home Gallery consignment furniture store in Fredericksburg

David Silverman, Belmont Regional Director

 Serving his first 2-year term as Regional Director, Belmont Region since July 2021.

*  David and his wife Marcie and their two teenage boys, Jacob and Hesse, discovered Lake Anna about 5 years ago. They purchased a lot on the lake and built a home that was completed in June of 2018.

* Currently a part-time resident, living on the upper Pamunkey, David and his family enjoy all the lake has to offer both on the water and surrounding it.

* David is a successful small business owner having started, built and sold several businesses over the years. He started his career at severe large corporations after obtaining his MBA from Vanderbilt in Nashville.  

*  He currently owns and operates K&M Lawn, Garden and Arborist Supply in Culpeper. He is the chairman of the small business council as well as a member of the business development council for the Culpeper Chamber of Commerce.

* David enjoys boating and jet skiing around the lake and exploring all the coves and quiet areas that he finds.

* David hails from Pittsburgh and is still a Pittsburgh sports fan. (We allowed David on the board of LACA in spite of this information.)
