In April, LACA hosts a reception to honor local and state public officials including those from the three counties surrounding Lake Anna: Louisa, Orange and Spotsylvania. Invitations are issued, decorations placed and food is prepared for the gala event.

The Annual Meeting is held on the last Saturday of July. The committee prepares a complimentary buffet of food and beverages for the members to enjoy after the meeting.

For each event, the committee plans, prepares and/or purchases the food and beverages, decorates, sets up and supervises the buffet, then is on clean-up detail. As the saying goes, many hands make light work.

The Social Committee consists of Chairperson Becky Vigon, along with Marilyn Root, MaryEllen Gargus, Nancy Greenfelder, Janet Bonillo, Jean Borduin and Gail Martin.
