The Chairman of the Navigation Committee serves as the LACA hazard buoy expert and special liaison with the Lake Anna Advisory Committee (LAAC) pertaining to the installation and maintenance of buoys that mark hazards to navigation and also the Lake Anna navigation marker program.

The present Chairman of the Navigation Committee is Steve Falkenthal.

Specific tasks are:
1. Select committee members to assist with the work.
2. Present to the Board for decision policy changes, significant expenditures and budget overruns.
3. Inform the Board about installation and maintenance of hazard buoys, Lake Anna Navigation Marker program, and other buoys funded by LACA.
4. Attend monthly Board meetings when possible.
5. Submit a budget request for the following fiscal year before March 1st.
