COMMITTEE GOAL
The goal of the Committee will be to present to the residents and businesses of the LACA Membership and the Lake Anna
community, information relevant to the Dominion application for one or more additional nuclear reactors at the North Anna site.
The Committee will interface with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and with Dominion during the permit process.
The Committee will comment on issues and concerns following factual research. Our conclusions will provide the LACA Board
with recommendations, providing a basis for communication with local/regional governmental authorities, our membership, and
other civic groups.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Preserve the Mission Statement of the Lake Anna Civic Association during the permit process by influencing good partnership
decisions that are designed and developed in the best interest of all stakeholders for the long term.

ESPC will continue to function until the permit process has been completed. ESPC will designate a qualified spokesperson with
appropriate credentials and expertise to represent and interact at the Environmental Review Session and the Site Safety and
Emergency Preparedness Review Sessions as scheduled by the NRC.
PROCESS GUIDELINES
ESPC will develop and prioritize the list of issues and concerns from reliable sources:
- LACA Board of Directors
- LAAC and Lake Anna Economic Development & Tourism Partnership
- Survey of membership through LACA Newsletter
- NRC and Dominion
- Governing agencies in Louisa, Orange, Spotsylvania Counties and other appropriate government resources
- General Public
COMMUNICATION AND REPORTING
- Provide well thought out logical answers with the intention of education
- All formal communication and reporting will have LACA Board approval
- Encourage attendance at public hearings.
