LACA holds elections for Officers and Regional Directors each year with terms of office of two years. The President, Treasurer and Directors of odd numbered regions are elected in years ending in odd numbers. The Vice-President, Secretary and Directors of even numbered regions are elected in years ending in even numbers. The President will appoint an Election Committee in February. The Committee will be responsible for announcing/publicizing the positions that will be up for election and to recommend a slate of candidates. Interested LACA members will be invited to offer themselves for election, even if the incumbent chooses to run for reelection. Detailed information will be provided in the Spring Newsletter.
